Last week, the theme challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments’ challenge was “Anything Goes” 3-D project/card/whatever. Hmmmm….seemed so easy and not restricted to colors, themes, etc.
Okay – thinking hat on what do I create this time???? It always seems like that first 7 months of every year there are so many activities happening so why not make another gift card item. Again, challenging myself not to make anything with flowers and/or birds, I chose to use the Petal Pizzazz stamp set. I love this stamp set.
This card can be used for any occasion (by just changing your color selection) for baby shower, bridal, graduation, birthday, etc. A week late but here’s my card:
Here is the inside of the card:
- Stamp Set: Petal Pizzazz
- Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Rose Red, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
- Classic Inks: Rose Red
- Textured Impressions Embossing Folder: Polka Dots
- Sizzix Die: BigZ Clear Scallop Square
- Punches: Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border, 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Ex-Lg
- Ribbon: Crumb Cake Seam Binding
- Accessories: Rhinestone Brads – Circle Fire, Dimensionals

Hello All! Well the last two weeks have been busy at the Cieslak home — so my sincere apologies for not posting. I’ll try to do better from now on.
I can’t believe that this special day is coming so soon. It’s that “special” day when Mom gets to have that day off from everything — well almost. This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is Mother’s Day Gift ideas.
Here are my ideas — a Mother’s day card and a 3×3 desk set. I’ll be making the desk sets for my cousins (and I have lots of them) for a Mother’s day gift. In case you’re wondering where I got the acrylic desk set — it’s also one of those items that I bought years ago at a Dollar Store that have been packed away just waiting for me to finally come up with an idea to use hem. The card I’ll give to my mom; but then she’ll give it back to me so that I can put it up on my display board.
I do have to share with you a cute “story”. My husband, Don, will spend hours at a card store looking for the special card to give me — the card that has that special message just for me for that “special” occasion. Of course, I save all his cards. So when we were packing up our household items for our big move from California to Texas, he found that stash of cards I’ve been saving for the last 20 years. You don’t want to throw them away, so you just spray perfume on them and use them as liners for your dresser drawers. It was then that he found all my cards & realized that he has been buying the same cards (for that particular occasion) each year. I just didn’t have the heart to tell him since he really puts a lot of effort finding me that perfect card. Hmmm…..so the big “H” card company doesn’t really create new cards; I can attest to that. I did think about giving him that particular card and just having him cross out the date and put in a new date. That way it would save him time and money and he could just give me that money and I can buy more STAMPS & ACCESSORIES!!!
So here are my two ideas to share with you. Both quick and easy to make.
- Stamps: Priceless
- Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White
- Inks: Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, Basic Black
- DSP: In-Color DSP Stack Pack (Pear Pizzazz for card) (Poppy Parade for desk & pen set)
- Accessories: Basic Jewels – Rhinestones, Crystal Effects & Dazzling Diamonds
Have a wonderful week. Thank you so much for visiting my site. And a special thanks and big stamping hugs to everyone whose been emailing me wondering where I’ve been since I haven’t posted.

I just had to share with you two beautiful cards created by a friend who is new to stamping. I love this stamp set, “Nature Walk” and have seen many beautiful cards created by many talented stampers.
I went to drop off a shipment for my friend Sandra and she wanted to share with me what she had been up to — Stamping!!! Here are two of her beautiful cards. For someone who has just started to learn the art of rubber stamping, Sandra is doing very well. She is a talented and lovely lady; and I’m so happy that I had the opportunity to share with her my love for stamping/papercrafting. Enjoy her cards; I am!
- Stamps: Nature Walk
- Cardstock: Basic Black, Old Olive, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler
- Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folders
- Lots of Dazzling Diamonds

Spring is here and shortly, Easter!! This week’s challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is Easter gifts.
Funny though, I always relate Easter as the “OK” to start wearing white shoes. Except! if you live in Hawaii — it’s always OK to wear white shoes.
Finally!!! Hooray!!!! I get to use the only Easter stamp set I own that has not been discontinued/retired. I love this cute set. This week I created a faux Easter Basket using a stampable mug/cup and put all the goodies in the cup. That way, it’s a functional present. The children will each receive an Easter mug this year, which will have more goodies than shown on the picture.
My favorite candy was always a Russell Stover’s marshmallow chocolate covered egg. I rarely found it where I lived in California. But now that I’m a Texas resident — well there’s resourceful to satisfy my sugar taste buds. Since it’s easy for me to gain the extra pounds (even by just looking at it), I’ve stamped a candy wrapper for my delectable delight and will wait patiently until Easter Sunday to enjoy it. In fact, I purchased several. And all have been wrapped in a stamped design and will be used as a favor to place at each table setting for our Easter dinner.
The card itself was a very quick and easy one to create. The Sizzix Texturized Impressions Folders really are beautiful and are so easy to use. I used the “Elegant Bouquet” folder. Just add pearls to the flowers, Seam Binding ribbon (so pretty and soft), and do some sponging using the daubers (so you don’t have to worry about inky pinkies) and “Voila!” — you have an Easter Card.
So here are my projects to share with you — quick and easy little gifts create and to give this season.
- Stamps: Good Egg; All Holidays (for “Easter Wishes” wording)
- Classic Inks: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight (for sponging)
- Cardstock: Wild Wasabi; So Saffron, Baja Breeze, Whisper White
- Designer Series Paper: Delicate Dots
- Punches: Word Window Large; Eyelet Border, Oval Large
- Accessories: Dimensionals, Jewels-Basic Pearls, Daubers
- Texturized Impressions Embossing Folder: Elegant Bouquet
Thank you so much for visiting my site. Have a wonderful week.
