Petal Pizzazz Gift Card

Last week, the theme challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments’ challenge was  “Anything Goes” 3-D project/card/whatever.   Hmmmm….seemed so easy and not restricted to colors, themes, etc.

Okay – thinking hat on what do I create this time????  It always seems like that first 7 months of every year there are so many activities happening so why not make another gift card item.   Again, challenging myself not to make anything with flowers and/or birds, I chose to use the Petal Pizzazz stamp set.  I love this stamp set.

This card can be used for any occasion (by just changing your color selection) for baby shower, bridal, graduation, birthday, etc.    A week late but here’s my card:

Hand Stamped Sentiments – Graduation Theme Challenge

This theme was a challenge for me as I could not come up with some WOW card or idea.  I finally found a stamp set (“Sense of Time”) that seemed like the perfect one to use.

This past week, I had the pleasure of meeting my friend Sandra’s granddaughter Alexandra who is from New Jersey.  Alexandra had never stamped before and wanted to see what it was all about especially since she saw all of Sandra’s wonderful cards that she has created.  What a wonderful & beautiful young lady; and this year is her Senior year.   The excitement she had for this special year — her last year in high school — and how excited she is for graduation and to start her new life as a college freshman.  Ta Dum!! finally an idea.   For this challenge I created a graduation card but also made a 6×6  scrap page using Night of Navy, Brushed Gold and Very Vanilla cardstocks.  And just by mere chance, the colors just happen to be Alexandra’s school colors.  So this scrap page has gone home to New Jersey with Alexandra.

This is the best part of being a demonstrator.  I get the opportunity to share what I love with others and help them create wonderful memories.   I had a wonderful time stamping with Sandra and Alexandra.

So here is the scrap page and graduation card I created.

HSS Challenge #62 – Pink-A-Licious

Pink-a-licious is the theme this week.  A nice color to bring in the new season of Spring!!  And all the Pink-A-licious creativity you’re going to see this week at Hand Stamped Sentiments (HSS).

I tried to use as much pink in different shades  — Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, and my favorite Melon Mambo.   Well, it’s the “new”  pink to me.    I stamped a canvas picture frame using an old retired stamp set that I really love and still have — DD Tulips.    Since five members of the HSS reside in San Antonio, Texas — I took the opportunity to take a picture of the ladies to use in the frame.

The gift box & 3×3 cards were a “last minute” design.  I had created a card but I realized that my assigned project was not a card but a gift set — Like duh!!!  Back to the drawing board and start creating something.   The box itself is not my creation.  I got the instructions from Angie Juda’s site Chic’n Scratch Live!  Check it out — she did an awesome job on the tutorial for the box.   The 3×3 note cards are my designs and I really had a great time creating these cards.  Below is the list of supplies I used to create these items.

HSS Challenge – Romantic Colors

Well according to our weather people, it’s supposed to be freezing cold in 3/4 of this country.  BURRRR!! — I don’t do well in cold weather.  So what better way to spend an evening by stamping and having a good cup of sugar-free cocoa; and of course, watching Castle.

This week’s HSS challenge (www.handstampedsentiments.blogspot.com) is Romantic colors using:

  • Any one of the SU Red cardstocks – Real Red, Ridinghood Red, Poppy Parade or Cherry Cobbler (my favorite),
  • Basic Black,
  • Either Whisper White or Very Vanilla

I decided to do booklets and use one of my favorite stamp sets “Just Believe”  and my most favorite technique — embossing.

The booklet is really simple.  I used Basic Black cardstock, DSP, Very Vanilla CS, “Just Believe” stamp set, and Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon.   The cover is actually embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This could actually be a great hostess gift.  Inside is a small tablet that can be used for a “To Do” list.

The journal is actually one I got at a Dollar Store years ago.  I thought it would be something I could use — “one day”.  So today is that one day.  The journal background is red velvet and black leather.  So the only thing it needed was a simple image embossed in gold, some gold cording and a key charm.

Tomorrow, I’ll clean up my crafting area — tonight, I stamp!!!
